About The Scarlet Lodge There is an airy double bedroom from which a double-door opens on to a spacious veranda. Sleeping accommodation is also provided in a singularly distinctive fashion with a ‘sleeping loft’ boasting a cosy futon-style loft sleeping area. The lodge offers all the modern conveniences necessary to make your stay as convenient as possible with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and sitting room area. A special feature of the lodge is the extensive decking area that encompasses the side and rear of the building with panoramic views. The expansive veranda overlooks the north side of the town, with the River Boyne in the forefront, Boyne Viaduct to the east and Boyne Bridge and the beautiful Boyne Valley to the west.
After a day exploring the wonders of the local area a period of relaxation on the veranda is just what the doctor ordered. An open-air barbeque under the stars on a long summer evening is also recommended. Alternatively, a pleasant
drink in the quaint Millmount Lounge - where the famous English military
leader Oliver Cromwell is suppose to have taken a pint - is just a sixty
second stroll from the front door of Scarlet Lodge. |
